Scott Burns Interview | MDRA

MDRA:
Hi Scott, how does it feel to be a part of the MDRA? and what types of racing have you been involved in earlier?

Burns:
Being a part of the MDRA is very exciting for me and a totally new world, I have been racing all types of road racing and speed have always been important, but in drag racing, it is essential to win.

MDRA:
Why did you choose the MagDragster™ Pro Modified 130 class?

Burns:
I mainly choosed this class because of the motor,  I dont have any experience with brushless motors, call me old fashioned, but I like the old brushed motors. They are easy to modify and repair and it is exciting to see how much power you can get out of such a small motor.

MDRA:
How did you come up with the name Firestarter for your car and are you not just a little superstitious about that name, I mean fire is not something you want to start in your car 🙂

Burns:
Yes, you’re right, I have been thinking a lot about the name and many other names, but this one got stuck in my head and I think it’s sounds kinda cool and powerfull. The name is inspired by my aftername, but also the old song from the english band The Prodigy, they had a big hit with a great song called Firestarter in 1996.

MDRA:
Thank you for doing this interview, we wish you all the best and a good 2019 season.

Burns:
Thank you so much, I am very happy to be a part of it!
